Welcome to Forest Pentecostal Church!

We are a church that loves our community and wants to see the impact of Christ's love in the lives of our fellow brothers and sisters

The Forest Pentecostal Church once known as the Pentecostal Tabernacle was an associate church in the fellowship of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, which was a comparatively young denomination among Canada's churches at the time

The first Pentecostal services held in Forest began in a tent on the lot adjoining the railway station in August, 1937. When the evenings became too cold for the tent the services were moved to the Eastern Star hall formerly the Forest Congregational church. After a period of special services here it was decided to continue the work and a regular schedule of services was set up and the Full Gospel Tabernacle came into being, affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.

In the fall of 1939 the congregation purchased the present property. the former Salvation Army tuilding, on Prince Street. After some renovations the dedication services were held November 24th and 25th, 1939.

The church has not been a large church but it has had an influence on many lives in the community  through the years. An important project at present is the regular financial assistance given for a missionary program in Uganda and the Republic of Congo

The fact that the church remains after all these years confirms the words of Scripture in Psalm 127:1 "Except the Lord build the house they labour in vain who build it'
